The Franklin Art Association’s January 4th meeting will feature a demonstration by Katie Kindilian.

Katie Kindilien grew up in Norwalk, CT and currently lives in New Haven. She received her undergraduate degree in painting from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. A year spent studying in Rome became a lifelong inspiration to paint and travel and study art from around the world. She received her Masters in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University and taught elementary and middle school art in New Haven for 25 years. Along the way Katie has continued painting, traveling, and studying with wonderful artists and teachers such as Julian Merrow-Smith, Stephanie Birdsall and Paul Foxton.

Katie was an Artist in Residence at the Art Association of Nantucket. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and art associations throughout New England, including Manhattanville College and the Essex Art Association.

The meeting will be at the Franklin Senior Center at 10 Daniel Mccahill St, Franklin, MA (directions) from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  See you there!

October 6th FAA Meeting: Guest Artist Deborah Freedman

Yes, we’re baaack!  Our first in-person meeting of the season will be Wednesday, October 6th, with a short business meeting starting at 6:45 followed by this month’s presentation by guest artist Deborah Freedman.

We meet at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St., in Franklin, Massachusetts.  The Senior Center a large building located diagonally across from the town common and across from St. Mary’s Church (directions).  Meetings are free and open to the public.
