for the preservation of the finest artistic traditions by means of exhibiting works, conducting classes, lectures, and sponsoring other activities favorable to artistic expression and to provide friendly exchanges among painters, photographers and those interested in the fine arts.\u00a0 Members aren&#8217;t just from Franklin but from many area towns: Bellingham, Hopkinton, Milford, Medway, Norfolk, Foxborough, Mendon, North Attleborough and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regular monthly meetings<\/strong> are held at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St., in Franklin, Massachusetts.\u00a0 The Senior Center a large building located diagonally across from the town common and across from St. Mary&#8217;s Church (<a href=\"http:\/\/classic.mapquest.com\/maps?city=Franklin&amp;state=MA&amp;address=1+Oak+St&amp;zipcode=02038-1822&amp;country=US&amp;latitude=42.089513&amp;longitude=-71.402069&amp;geocode=ADDRESS\">directions<\/a>)\u00a0 Meetings are from 6:30-9:00 PM with a business meeting starting at 6:45, the first Wednesday of each month, September through June.\u00a0 Meetings are free and open to the public, and you can also join in via <a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/j\/7298884226\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zoom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art shows<\/strong> are held in the fall and spring for a period of one day to one month depending upon the venue.\u00a0 Activities associated with these shows typically\u00a0 include reception, art work judging, silent auction, bin sales, student exhibition, raffle, and viewers choice judging.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshops<\/strong> led by recognized artists are held periodically throughout the year.\u00a0 A range of media and techniques are covered including life painting, oil painting, watercolor and pastel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plein Air field trips<\/strong> are scheduled from time to time during the year.\u00a0 These informal outdoor sessions have included landscape painting at the Audubon Stonybrook and Broadmoor reservations and Uxbridge&#8217;s River Bend Farm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Scholarships<\/strong> are awarded each year to a Franklin High School senior who plans on majoring in art.\u00a0 Student portfolios and recommendations are judged by FAA officers.<\/p>\n<h2>Officers<\/h2>\n<p><strong>President: <\/strong>Nicole Horsman<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vice President: <\/strong>Madeline Saggiomo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secretary:<\/strong> Chris Toubeau<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasurer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary:<\/strong> Hannah Close<\/p>\n<p><strong>Web Site:<\/strong> Dale Hoopingarner &#8211;
