Kim Gorrasi will be the featured artist at the March 6th Franklin Art Association meeting. Meetings begin at 6:30 OM and are held at the Franklin Senior Center. All are welcome. In her demonstration, Kim will guide us through the fundamentals of portrait painting. She is well known in her field of portrait painting and has exhibited widely. Sue Sheridan Presenting at the FAA September 6th Meeting
Events, Meetings, NewsThe Franklin Art Association will have their first meeting of the season on Wednesday, September 6th, at 6:30 PM at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street, Franklin, MA (directions). Programs are free and open to the public. This month’s program will feature artist Sue Pratt Sheridan, who will demonstrate the use of many different types of mediums with a slide presentation of artwork, including oils, watercolors, pastels, charcoal and mixed media. The unique qualities of each medium will be discussed, questions answered and encouragement given to explore new ways to create art! Sue holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UMass Amherst, and has been a practicing artist for most of her life.

Ronald is a continuing education student in the Photography program at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP). Ronald’s work spans a variety of subjects from classic New England shores to astrophotography. The Franklin Art Association will hold a special holiday get-together on Wednesday, December 1st, 7:00 PM at the Franklin Senior Center. Members and guests are invited to bring a piece or two of their own artwork to share, and to spend the evening painting or drawing in a group. Painting ideas will be shared in a congenial, social atmosphere with holiday music playing and special snacks. Association meetings are open to the public.
